15% Off Hyatt Discount Code

Hyatt has a targeted game “the CHASE” where they’re giving away points and other prizes. I’ve read that at first anyone could play but they’ve fixed that programming.

I got around to playing the game on a flight last night and it was amusing and cute, for what that’s worth.

The default result of the game is a generic discount code such as 10% off (DISC10) or 15% off (DISC15).

The codes don’t attach to your account, so they should be usable by anyone, you simply enter them in the discount code box when searching for a reservation on the Hyatt website.

I ran a search for a random night at the Hyatt Regency Austin…

…and came up with the following rates:

DISC15 did give 15% off of the Hyatt Daily Rate. It’s also a cancellable rate — so better than advance purchase.

I included the AAA rate in the search for comparison purposes since that usually gets you 10% off (akin to advance purchase, but also cancellable).

The discount code is valid through January 31.

  1. They DO seem to be attached to your account. I just tried for the same dates at the hyatt regency Austin and the rate did not show!

  2. For what it’s worth I tried this logged into an account that did not receive the 15% off code, and it worked — though perhaps one had to be targeted for the game to use whether they got the code or not?

  3. Gary,

The secret is to NOT choose the treasure chest until you get a Platinum or Diamond status (assuming you need one or the other). Keep playing until it comes up and DO NOT choose one of the chests. It will give you the status until Feb 2015.

  4. After going through the promo game this morning and receiving the 10% off code, I booked a stay in CA in October. I just went back in and successfully booked the same stay using the 15% off code. So I don’t think it is attached to any particular GP account.

  5. The first property I checked with the discount code ended up being less expensive with their “Autumn Sale” rates… so much for a good deal.

  6. The 15% off worked for me for one night and was about a bit less than my AAA Hot Deal rate but then I realized my AAA rate included breakfast (I’m not diamond) so I left my reservation as is. The 15% off rate was not available for another night at the same hotel.

  7. We have a trip booked to Kauai early Dec, so I decided to try the 15% off coupon I got from playing the game (too bad I didn’t read the comment above before I stopped the game), and the rooms with the coupon are $100 MORE than the AAA rate. Wow.

  8. TopCashBack supposedly is giving 70% cash back for travel at Wego.com. As a novice, I’m guessing this is for Hotels only but not sure of all the restrictions.

  9. How to get to “The Chase” game? I’m logged into my Hyatt account on their website, but there’s no mention of any game.
