100,000 Point Bonus Offer Returns for Amex Platinum Through the ‘CardMatch Tool’ (Several Other Great Offers Too)

I receive compensation for content and many links on this blog. Citibank is an advertising partner of this site, as is American Express, Chase, Barclays and Capital One. Any opinions expressed in this post are my own, and have not been reviewed, approved, or endorsed by my advertising partners. I do not write about all credit cards that are available -- instead focusing on miles, points, and cash back (and currencies that can be converted into the same). While the Platinum Card by American Express has a standard offer currently of 60,000 points after $5,000 in purchases within 3 months, some people can do even better than that — 100,000 points through the CreditCards.com CardMatch tool.

Flagged by Miles to Memories, apparently another round of people seem to have become eligible for 100,000 point offers (and also perhaps 50,000 point offers on the Amex Gold). So you should check if the offer is available to you now.

Go to the CardMatch tool to see if the offer is available to you. You enter your name, address, and social security number and they’ll match you against the profile they’re looking for.

While you provide your social security number, the site is explicit in assuring “A soft credit check will be performed but it will not affect your credit score.”

Some people receive an offer through the CardMatch site for a 100,000 point initial bonus for the Platinum Card by American Express. Many people will not receive this offer.

Look for a ‘CardMatch Special Offers’ tab, Amex cards may not be what display but default but look for special offers on the left hand side of the screen. If you aren’t targeted, you won’t see it.

Definitely worth checking to see if you’re eligible. This is a fabulous offer for a fantastic card.

  1. LAXJeff: don’t despair because for the past 3 years, I never got a pre-approved offer with a 100K card match with my name on it and viola, I saw it today 🙂

Gene: Apart from seeing the 100K offer from Amex today, I also used to only receive CreditOne offers. A little more research shows that CreditOne is like a Capital One. They prey on others with either lower credit scores or have applied and been approved for every other premium reward card there is out there.
