FARE ALERT: Europe For Less Than $200 Roundtrip ($195!!!)

The Flight Deal writes about New York JFK to Oslo or Stockhom from $212 roundtrip but you can travel for even less than that!

The trick here is that several of the airline’s international websites create the possibility of savings through currency arbitrage.

Norwegian has really introduced cheap fares to a number of US transatlantic routes. And oddly it’s worth searching their website in different currencies — because you get different prices. There are arbitrage opportunities in this case from the same seller.

Instead of booking at Norwegian.com – where TheFlightDeal is seeing those cheap fares — if you book on Norwegian’s website you’ll find even lower prices.

You can use Google translate but the booking engine is intuitive even without it. The best thing to do is choose Norwegian’s “Low Fare Calendar” showing dates with the cheapest flights.

Here’s a sample itinerary:

Now lets convert the pricing to US dollars:

The airline charges for advance seat assignments, drinks and food. They limit carry on bags to 10 kg and they charge for checked bags. But they’ve got brand new Boeing 787s and this fare is incredibly cheap.

  1. Hi Gary,
Happy Holidays! Just wanted to thank you for these updates!

In general, is Norwegian.no the site to go to find the cheapest fares from US to Europe?

    Thanks in advance,
    Avi

  2. How reputable is Norwegian Air? I’m Leary about these low budget airlines that charge you for everything…

I’d rather pay more on something more solid. and not have to argue about the price.
