United’s New Safety Video is Here!

It’s another ‘Safety is Global’ theme.

There are easter eggs here, like as others have noted the Boeing 787 mother and her 737 child. Sadly despite the impending 747 retirement the Queen of the Skies made no appearance as Pa.

Oscar Munoz says you’re welcome in Spanish. Some will see that as political but United’s global themed safety videos predate the election.

No reference to the Friendly Skies though. “We’re connecting people, Uniting the world and doing it safely..” Also missing is any reference to United Polaris. But we all have to make choices.

  1. Nothing political about the CEO saying Thank you in Spanish. Oscar Munoz, CEO of United Airlines, happens to be from Mexico.

  2. Why is it that on these safety videos, the life vests are never actually inflated? Seems it would be more educational and much more helpful and remove some of the “surprise factor” if they showed the vest being inflated.
