3 Routes Where You Can Book Europe Business Class For Under 46,000 Chase, Amex or Citi Points

New variable Air France KLM Flying Blue points pricing is live and often makes no sense. Some awards are more expensive, some less expensive. Instead of a hidden award chart they have a calculator.

But they still offer various routes at 25% or 50% off each month and new ones are up for February booking.

Here are this month’s transatlantic deals:

  • 25% off Air France economy and business class between Seattle and Europe
  • 50% off Air France and KLM economy between Houston and Europe
  • 50% off Air France and KLM economy and business class between Montreal and Europe
  • 25% off KLM business class between Edmonton and Europe
  • 25% off Air France and KLM economy between Vancouver and Europe

Book in February for April or May travel. You can connect beyond Paris or Amsterdam to elsewhere in Europe if you wish, and that sometimes even drives down price. (HT: One Mile at a Time)

You can travel in either direction, and connections beyond Amsterdam and Paris gateways are part of the deal and can even drive down award prices further. Routes are often discounted when flights aren’t full, suggesting that there should be good availability.

American Express, Chase, and Citibank points all transfer to Flying Blue.

  1. “Book in February for March or April travel. ” should read “Book in February for April or May travel. “

  2. It may make no sense but sometimes there are sometimes exceptional bargains to be had. As I have a stack of AMEX MR points that instantly transfer to Air France, I always check them out whenever I look for award travel. The AF Business service is also very good.
