The AAdvantage® Aviator® Business Mastercard® has a new best-ever offer with an initial bonus up to 75,000 miles. (HT: Doctor of Credit)

  • 65,000 miles after $1000 in purchases within 90 days
  • 10,000 more miles for making a purchase with an employee card

The card has a $95 annual fee. It applies from year one. Employee cards come without an additional annual fee. Ongoing earn is 2 miles per dollar with American, at office supply stores, on telecom and car rental merchants.

The AAdvantage® Aviator® Business Mastercard® comes with group 5 boarding on American and – key for AAdvantage elites, and unlike the Aviator Red personal card — this business card still earns 3000 Elite Qualifying Dollars after $25,000 spending $each calendar year.

American Airlines Flagship Lounge LAX

Earning is 2 miles per dollar on eligible American Airlines purchases as well as at telecommunications merchants, cable and satellite providers, car rental merchants and at gas stations (one mile per dollar on other purchases).

Having two issuers of AAdvantage cards is great for consumers, one ups their offer and it seems like the other issuer does as well. And it’s possible to get personal cards from each, and eligible customers can get small business cards from each too.

Comments

  1. How does barclay and citi deal with churning? can i have had the card in the past? etc..
    Thank you!

  2. Had the personal card and cancelled it late last year. Think I could apply for this biz under sole proprietor?

  3. AA cards are heavily decreased in value hence the upped bonuses. I have this card but will not hold it past my first anniversary date. Between AA problems and low benefit to having the card it’s just not a keeper

  4. Aside from signup bonus and EQDs, this is a lousy credit card. Terrible customer service to correct repeated billing issues, and twice while traveling they’ve blocked charges to my card. Yes, 3 Lyft rides in one day were deemed suspicious activity.

  5. Applied as sole proprietor, app went pending yesterday, today got an email approval. Cancelled the personal card late last year, haven’t had an app for almost a year now. I have two other Barclay cards that I use sparingly for small purchases. Not sure if that helps or not.
