British Airways is offering double Avios on flights, including not just British Airways flights but transatlantic BA codeshares on their joint venture partners (American, Iberia, Finnair) too.

Double Avios applies to your first 10 flights through June 30, 2020 as long as they’re booked by December 13. Registration required.

Unlike past versions of the promotion, already-booked flights earn double Avios too – this isn’t just for new bookings (although you have to register existing bookings to earn double Avios in addition to registering for the promotion). This comes just as next week’s pilots strike has been called off though contract issues haven’t yet been resolved.

Now is a great time for US-based members to be collecting British Airways Avios because Chase just made the British Airways Visa Signature® Card a whole lot more valuable. Not only do you earn more for British Airways spend – 3 Avios per $1 spent with British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, and LEVEL – but more importantly the card makes the Avios you have much more cost-effective to redeem since it comes with a statement credit towards taxes and fees (up to three statement credits totaling $600 per year) when you redeem for British Airways transatlantic flights originating in the U.S.
