Capital One had a pretty innovative partnership with Resy, the online restaurant reservation service. It’s smaller than OpenTable, but has a lot of trendy and innovative restaurants. Then American Express bought Resy.
So Capital One went out and put together a new restaurant partnership that all of their cardmembers have access to – not just Capital One® Savor® Cash Rewards Credit Card with its 4% back on dining and entertainment, but Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card, Capital One® Spark® Miles for Business and other cards too.
Capital One cardmembers now have access to weekend reservations at top restaurants in 15 cities across the U.S. set aside for them. OpenTable, owned by Booking.com (née Priceline) is the 80,000 pound gorilla in the restaurant booking space (see OpenTable vs. Resy vs. Tock).
When you go after the limited time 200,000 mile initial bonus offer on the Capital One® Spark® Miles for Business, you don’t just earn transferable miles you also get restaurant benefits.
