Delta Passenger Grabs Fire Extinguisher And Comes Out Spraying After Stealing Chicken Wings

A passenger stormed Delta Air Lines gate D7 at the Atlanta airport, grabbed a fire extinguisher, and came out spraying. According to a witness, the woman dined and dashed from Buffalo Wild Wings. When she was asked to pay she unleashed herself on the rest of the terminal.

Here’s additional video showing “children running from her and dozens of concerned travelers on edge.”

Given the number of law enforcement officers on site at major airports, from numerous agencies, and cameras everywhere it always seems as though there should be a faster response time.

Nonetheless police do eventually respond and while it’s difficult to tell through the cloudy air in the terminal it doesn’t appear that she’s resisting particularly vigorously when an officer declares, “stop resisting!”

I have to wonder though if she was just frustrated by why so many airport restaurants are just downright bad. And don’t tell me you like One Flew South, that’s on Atlanta’s E concourse and people like to anchor themselves near their gate.

  1. I guess she was upset she had to pay for crappy wings. Hopefully she receives a lifetime ban from airports and flying.

  2. Having worked in ATL (including at that gate) for about 5 years, about a 15-20 minute response time for police would be considered fast by the people who work there. We had an agent get thrown by an angry pax (drunk, missed flight, blamed it on Afghanistan PTSD) over a gate counter and the ramp agents had to restrain the guy on the ground for over 20 minutes waiting on the police. That was probably to the guys detriment as I think my ramp partners were likely a little rougher on him than the police would be.

  3. Wow, this is really unfortunate, mental illness ? That fire extinguisher is the least of her worries, at the start of the second video, it appears as though she is trying to gain access to the Aircraft/Tarmac through the keypad at the gate. To my knowledge that’s a felony, and it would land her in jail for sure.

  4. Buffalo Wild Wings is wildly expensive out in the burbs, what are they are in the airport? $5 a wing? Though dine & dash in the airport is like doing it at the ballpark, no so smart.

  5. Guess she’s not flying anywhere today. Imagine if passengers get hosed down by the fire extinguisher and have to get on your flight.
