Earn 5x On All Spend With Bilt Mastercard (Earn 50,000 Points)

Bilt is offering 5x on all purchases made on Black Friday, November 26th. That excludes cash advance-style transactions, and it excludes rent where this is already the only card to handle rent payments at no cost and award up to 50,000 points per year for them. This is awesome for me because I was approved for a no annual fee Bilt Mastercard last week.

You can earn up to 50,000 points with this offer. And it’s available to all existing and new cardmembers. It still works for new cardmembers because new customers get a digital card with card number in the Bilt app immediately on approval.

Beginning at 12:00 AM and going through 11:59 PM on Friday, November 26th, all qualifying transactions* made with a Bilt Mastercard will automatically earn 5X points per dollar spent. There is a cap of 50,000 points you can earn from qualifying transactions Friday.

According to the offer terms, in addition to manufactured spend activities, they exclude gambling transactions (including lottery ticketes); bail and bond; tax payments; court costs and government services; and advertising services.

5X earning means 2 additional points on dining (which normally earns 3x), 3 additional points on travel (which noramlly earns 2); and 4 additional points on other purchases that normally earn 1 point. I’m in my first 30 days of cardmembership, where I earn 2 points on unbonused spend, and that earns 3 extra points per dollar under this offer.

I value Bilt points at 1.7 cents apiece. Points in the Bilt program transfer to:

  • Airlines: American AAdvantage, Air Canada Aeroplan, Emirates Skywards, Air France KLM Flying Blue, Turkish Miles & Smiles, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, Hawaiian Airlines HawaiianMiles
  • Hotels: Hyatt, IHG Rewards

This set of partners is at least as good as Chase’s transfer partners in my view.

There’s a waitlist to join the program, and it reportedly takes months to be invited in at the moment. However you can go to BiltRewards.com/waitlist, enter your email to joint the waitlist, and you’ll be asked if you have a fast track code. VFTW4BILT will take you right in. (I do not receive any referral credit for this, I simply pass this along as a service to you.)

You sign up for their waitlist, verify your email, and then you can enter the code to go straight to the application. I used the code myself and was approved instantly with a good credit limit.

  1. To be clear, the 50K points is not a sign up bonus. It’s the limit on what you can earn per year. Do I have that right?

  2. @Steve, 50k is the # of annual points you can earn paying rent and 50k is the limit on this bonus offer for all cardholders on Black Friday. Neither of those is a sign up bonus.
