Free Lifetime Shoprunner Free Shipping at Several Online Stores

Shoprunner is offering U.S. American Express cardholders lifetime free membership.

It’s a service that gets you free 2-day shipping with no minimum order size and free shipping on returns at a variety of (“80+”) online merchants. That’s great for savings in general, and it’s great for mileage-earning deals. Often you can get great mileage shopping portal deals for buying through various stores, but the cost of shipping can reduce the value of the deal — but Shoprunner saves the economics.

You’ll have to provide an American Express account number to verify eligibility, and then create a Shoprunner profile. It appears that once you enter your American Express card number that you can also apply the benefit to an existing Shoprunner account if you have one.

I’ve used Shoprunner in the past to get free shipping on very small purchases from drugstore.com and still earned points for those. I’ve seen free one year trial offers, but never before an offer of free lifetime membership.

  1. I didn’t realize that you could use shop runner and a portal. Always figured that shop runner pretty much was a portal.

  2. Nice arrangement. It’s not hard to get free Shoprunner, but not having to worry about it expiring is nice.

I too use it for small Drugstore purchases, but actually find my highest usage is with Newegg. Their prices are competitive with Amazon on electronics, and have good customer service.

  3. @Jamie, I’ve been able to use a portal and get the ShopRunner shipping at both drugstore.com and newegg.com. And I gotta tell ya, free 2-day shipping on a 20+ lb UPS was a GREAT deal!

Usually the merchant will give you the chance to login to your ShopRunner account when you’re selecting the shipping option. At least that’s how both drugstore.com and Newegg did it. I want to say I’ve had success somewhere else too, but can’t remember which merchant.

  4. Just a note that you must keep this card as your default in order to keep the benefit, so if you need to cancel the card, switch your default to an AmEx first, otherwise you’ll lose the lifetime benefit.

  5. To maintain this benefit on your ShopRunner account, you must keep an eligible Card as its default payment method in Express Checkout. The benefit may be cancelled on your ShopRunner account if you change your default payment method to anything other than an eligible Card.

If you change your default payment method to a different eligible Card, that new eligible Card will be enrolled in the benefit. The same eligible Card cannot serve as the default payment method in Express Checkout for more than one ShopRunner account enrolled in the benefit.

  6. Thanks for the tip! I signed up a couple years ago due to another free AmEx promotion and I’ve been surprised by how much I’ve used it. They also do Toys/Babies R Us and most of the licensed sports shopping sites, which is great around the holidays!

  7. i use it for Newegg and Dominoes, both allow log in on their sites and use whatever form of payment you want. Not sure i have ever used it for any other site.
    took plat biz amex.

  8. One huge benefit of shoprunner is, FREE DELIVERY on dominos pizza orders, which can be like $1.50 – $2.50 per each delivery.

  9. Sweet. Hopefully they don’t hold a grudge for the 80 individual boxes I had them ship from Drugstore.com once upon a time.
