Hyatt Cardmembers Earn Double Elite Credit On Andaz Stays Through December 23

Starting today, through December 23, 2021 , both World Of Hyatt Credit Card and World of Hyatt Business Credit Card cardmembers receive two elite qualifying nights for each night stayed at an Andaz property. Registration is required and eligibility of stays is based on checkout date.

As it is elite qualification requirements were cut in half this year. Globalist status requires just 30 nights, and that includes the annual nights that come with the World Of Hyatt Credit Card and the elite nights earned from spending on both cards.

This gives cardmembers an easy last push towards status, and of course even those that have already received the status they want see rewards for pushing further. Remember that free night awards, confirmed suite upgrades, and a dedicated concierge come from elite nights earned rather than status. And Hyatt offers incremental perks for every 10 nights up to 100 elite nights for the year.

# Nights Or Benefit
10 25k base points or 3 meetings Discoverist
20 35k base points 2 club lounge access awards
30 50k base points or 10 meetings Explorist, 2 club access awards, cat 1-4 free night
40 65k base points 5k points or $100 Hyatt gift card or 10k points off FIND experience
50 80k base points 2 confirmed suite upgrade awards
60 100k base points or 20 meetings Globalist, 2 suite upgrade awards, cat 1-7 free night, concierge
70 N/A 10,000 points or suite upgrade award
80 N/A 10,000 points or suite upgrade award
90 N/A 10,000 points or suite upgrade award
100 N/A 10,000 points or suite upgrade award

I actually love hitting 70 night thresholds and beyond during the last quarter of the year. That’s because you get 90 days to select your preferred benefit. So I wait to choose suite upgrades until January of the following year, and doing so causes them to have an extra year’s expiration (great for stays booked far in advance, before you’re earned more in the following year).

Do your Andaz stay in a major U.S. city and double dip with a bonus 1000 AAdvantage miles. Bear in mind that award stays count as stays and promotional earning with Hyatt, so you can even transfer Chase points into Hyatt and redeem them for Andaz stays during the promo period to use this offer.

Comments

  1. Gary, any opportunity for double-dipping between this promotion and the one that was available to new WoH credit card holders until about a month ago, which gives double elite nights for ALL Hyatt stays through the end of the year?

  2. If ever there was a yawn promotion from Hyatt this may be close to a top contender
Only a pandemic made them aggressive in promotional efforts last year when almost no one wanted to travel for fear of death Now peak pricing following in the footstep of others to overcharge
Not The Gold Passport I once fell in love with but still delivers on a rainy day or two 😉
    Sad
    RIP Faster Free Nights 🙁
Now if they offer up a free night promo this thread would be jamming 🙂

  3. I’m confused about the benefit of waiting until January to select a Suite Upgrade. As of Jan. 2018, don’t all SUAs expire at the same time as your Globalist status, i.e. Feb 28 2023 for awards earned this year?
