Porn Star Yanked Off United Flight After Speaking Out On Protests

Elle Knox, a porn star whose twitter profile says she “likes to get naked and travel” was ‘pulled off’ a United Airlines flight from Houston to San Francisco on Tuesday after speaking out against ‘unjust killing of African Americans.’

She says she was told that she ‘scared people’ though “everyone applauded..when [she] was escorted off.”

United, for their part, says the problem was she “refused to follow strict crewmember instructions about standing up while our flight attendants were in their jump seats and the aircraft was taxiing on the runway.”

She was allowed to continue on her connecting flight to Australia and says she has no regrets, she “had a chance for 300+ people to hear what I had to say & ..took it.”

After the 2016 Presidential election a United captain made an announcement on a San Francisco – Puerto Vallarta flight that we need to keep politics off of planes until we’re mature enough to handle it,

When cooler heads prevail and we can talk and realize that we’re all human beings and we can all stick together and we can all pull for this country in our own way then that’s what we should do.

Was Elle Knox making an important enough statement to ignore FAA rules that she stay seated – indeed, is it important for all of us not to stay seated? – or was the United captain right that the message may matter but a commercial airline flight is the wrong time and wrong place?

  1. If this becomes more common, then when bookings are made there should be a notice that political outbursts are not permitted. Then flyers can choose to book elsewhere if they do not agree to keep their politics to themselves, while other flyers can enjoy a politics-free flight.

  2. I’ve had an AA pilot announce “Make American Great Again!” Best pilot ever.

  3. @Jack# – the left is insisting this stuff isn’t political. They want to spread their dogma in more venues where politics are taboo. Have you checked LinkedIn lately? So many dummies are posting they don’t discuss politics in work environments “but this is not politics this is human.”

  4. @Gary

the fact that you used “yanked off” to headline this story is an insult to Dr.Dao

  5. When I read the headline, I assumed Ms. Knox’s profession was somehow relevant to the story. Doesn’t seem so. @Gary, would you have included Financial Analyst in the headline were that the occupation listed in her Twitter profile? Clickbait at best – slut shaming at worst.

For what it’s worth, I find it inappropriate for passengers or crew to use a cabin of captive passengers to make a political statement.

  6. She “likes to get naked and travel.” Isn’t that your motto, Gary?

  7. Seat21D…id have to use that little motion sickness bag if I were on your flight to stick it to you and that pilot.

  8. “She says she was told that she ‘scared people’ though “everyone applauded..when [she] was escorted off.”” – they were probably applauding her being removed from the plane.

Can’t seriously be asking the question if its reasonable for someone to stand up while a plane is in taxi to give some sort of political speech. Bunch of rubbish.

  9. So y’all don’t want things “political”, but a PILOT saying MAGA is OK?
Yes, I see how this works.

  10. Great title. She must have huuuuge hands. Nice to know there was a “happy ending” too.

  11. Was horny as 10 inches when I saw the headline.
Thought she was nakedly protesting for body liberty and maybe start a live show on board.
After I read the whole post relating to politics, I am only 2 inches now.

  12. This comment section is so dismal. You can call this a Karen moment in your minds all you want, but what she did had absolutely nothing to do with her choice of work (whether you like it or not). The fact that she works in pornography adds no relevance to the fact that she voiced her opinion.

Had her career be anything other than porn, I suspect the title would’ve read differently.

    Shame on you.

  13. She should go back to her country and in the meantime STFU. And she is a star? I think you really meant, a slut.

    Now, she’s gone, good riddance.

  14. Post 9-11 I feel like anyone doing something radical or even out of the norm on a plane is a hazard. So she just wanted attention and to subject her opinions on others it doesn’t make it right. What if she had been armed or trying to hijack the aircraft? As Rick Steves would say: “One person’s Freedom Fighter is another person’s “Terrorist”.

  15. Keep politics and political statements out of the travel experience. I just want to travel comfortably, safely, and with as much comfort as possible. I don’t want to hear people making any statements about anything.

  16. As soon as title appeared on my feedly, I know the blogger right away. Does it mean, I am judging blogger by the blog title!

  17. Makes me proud to be an Australian. Remember it was “political” for Rosa Parks not to leave her seat. It was “political” to sanction South Africa. It was “political” for an NFL player to peacefully protest. It was “political” to demand voting rights for women.

Seriously. United has the right to kick her off the aircraft for whatever reason it wants. You have the right to take your blinders off and be thankful that people like her are willing to stand up and be counted.

  18. Amazed at how many think that her free speech should not be allowed and tout themselves as “Americans” Fascism is alive and well in a country that was built on the principals of free speech. Patriots huh?

And the number of commenters who are misogynists is really troubling. I would guess they fall in the same political spectrum as those who thought it was fine to vote for the guy who likes to grab them by the you-know-what.

And this comment was spot on:
So y’all don’t want things “political”, but a PILOT saying MAGA is OK?
Yes, I see how this works.

  19. Bunch of crybabies on this post and the plane. Wan, Wah.
Political Statement: I’m sure chump is looking her up on his White House computer.
I like Ozzies. More common sense than anyone in chump’s admin.

  20. Seat21D above is late for his weekly KKK meeting. And no, he was not allowed to wear his white hood on the plane

  21. Her profession is irrelevant. While she has the right to say what she feels, doing so by standing up while the plane is taxiing and everyone including the flight attendants is seated and buckled in, is a safety issue. What she said does not matter; the fact that she stood up at an unsafe time does matter.

And the AA pilot had no business spouting off his MAGA stuff either. Many of us want nothing to do with the person who came up with that, and believe that he has done nothing of the sort (MAGA, that is). Fly the airplane; that is your job.

  22. I think that all the passenger wanted was some attention. But did she realize that it’s important for such passengers to be careful for what they wish–or was her being her kicked off part of her plans?

  23. The “tolerant left” always shine through in the comments with ridicule and false allegations while continuing to show a lack of reading comprehension..

  24. @ Carleton. It was not an AA flight she was taking, but a UA from SFO HOU SYD. You ought to read carefully before aspersing your comments.

And yes, any political comments have a time and place, and the 1st Amendment should be protected accordingly.

I am not interested in hearing anything that would infringe in my right to such amendment.

  25. Her qualifications are more suited to other activities. I don’t take my life advice from porn stars.
