I do not write about all credit cards that are available -- instead focusing on miles, points, and cash back (and currencies that can be converted into the same). Update: When I first posted this my Hyatt card wasn’t eligible for the bonus. Today I checked and was able to register. If you were unsuccessful when I posted this a week ago, try again now.

Chase has 5x earning offers available for several of its products. These offers are targeted, though quite broadly. If you have a Chase co-brand it’s worth checking to see whether you’re eligible. In addition to the specific landing pages below, you can check eligibility and register here.

  • United  5x per dollar on all purchases April – June, up to $1,500 spend.

  • Marriott 5x per dollar on all purchases April – June, up to $1,500 spend.

  • Hyatt 5x per dollar on all purchases April – June, up to $1,500 spend.

  • IHG 5x per dollar on all purchases April – June, up to $1,500 spend.

  • Disney 5x per dollar on all purchases April – June, up to $1,500 spend.

  • AARP 5% back at grocery stores and restaurants April – June, up to $1500 spend.

  • Starbucks 1 star per dollar at grocery stores and 1 star per $2 at restaurants April – June, up to $1500 spend.

My Hyatt card wasn’t eligible for this bonus, One Mile at a Time’s was.

Thank You

The offer you are attempting to access is not available for the card account you entered. If you have another account, please try signing in using that card’s information.

  1. The stipulation says that purchases do not include balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, …

I assume foreign transactions are still included, but purchases of foreign currency are not. Anyone wants to chime in? TIA

  2. Any idea if United Business cards are eligible? I tried to register mine and nothing happened. The screen kept coming back the same, fill in to register.

  3. Disney link is saying only groceries, gas, and drug stores until March 31. So maybe Chase has not updated the promo for United and Disney yet. My IHG is 5X everything until June 30.

I only use the Disney card on the Disney.com for 10% discounts. I only use the IHG card at IHG hotels, but this may make me reconsider using it for gas.

  4. Hmm. When I try the links, it says, “Thank you for your interest We are currently unable to identify your account. Please contact us using the number on the back of your card.” Never gotten that before. I tried calling in but had to politely hang up because the rep was nice but not helpful.

  5. Marriott card brought up the existing grocery 5% that expires this month and my Hyatt card is ineligible.

Appears to be a waste of time

  6. I also got the notice about 5X on grocery, gas and pharmacy through March 31st. My guess is that since the current promotion is still in effect until the end of the month and the new one referenced in this story isn’t until April we will need to wait until April 1st to see if we have the offer and activate it. Just set a calendar reminder for that date – no big deal

  7. I have the Marriott, IHG, Hyatt and United cards.

For the Marriott I got nothing.

For the other three I received 5 points/$1 for restaurant and grocery spend only, capped at $1500, April-June.

    Thanks for the head’s up!!!

  9. No business cards eligible for us. Hyatt card has different offer : spend $3,000 for 5,000 extra points, not as worthwhile.

  10. Thanks, Gary. I just checked and got the 5X April-June on my Hyatt. Zilch on the others so far.
    U Da Greatest!

  11. Got 5X on my Chase Southwest Visa on all spend up to $1500 from April-June.

    I will max it out.

  12. When I tried in late March to register, I got only the 1Q offers. Now that it’s April, the new offers came up.

Interestingly, I have both IHG cards. The old IHG Select card got the 5x on everything, but the newer and more expensive IHG Premier got 5x only on grocery & restaurant.

  13. Per a Chase phone rep, If you have trouble registering, try a different browser. I could not get any of our UA or IHG cards to register, got several different error messages with the most common being that it did not recognize my account. I called, and the rep saw a different promo that I was eligible for with UA (5X gas and restaurants) and she signed me up, then I tried another browser and got IHG 5X on everything. My wife got a mediocre offer with IHG (spend $3K, get 5K bonus), but she still can’t get the UA promo to work, so will be calling about that over the weekend.

  14. I am confused
suppose on my Hyatt or IHG card I spend the $1,500 for the offer,
and also have $500 spend for hotel stays, that should post bonus points.
Do the hotel charge bonus get deducted from the $1,500 bonus?

  15. I utilized the full 5x benefits, for 3 categories, on my United card which expired on March 31st. For this promotion I just activated the same 5x bonus offer for all categories and my card was instantly activated. Go figure….
