Singapore Airlines Business Class Awards Wide Open To Europe And Asia

Singapore Airlines frequently makes plenty of award space available towards the end of its booking calendar. If you’re searching 9 or more months in advance you have a good shot at finding a plethora of options. Right now though their award availability is exceptional across several routes, both from the U.S. to Asia and also from the U.S. to Europe.

For instance, San Francisco – Singapore non-stop has the floodgates completely open between July and October, not just for the normal 2 passengers where you’ll frequently see space but for many more than that.

  • Singapore flights 33/34 will generally have 5-9 business class award seats available at the saver level (107k)
  • While Singapore flights 31/32 will have 4-8 business class award seats available at the AAdvantage level (128.5k)

Here’s a search for 4 or more business class award seats, San Francisco – Singapore, in August:

If you want to see good availability just to Tokyo, check out the Los Angeles – Tokyo flight if you want four or more award seats in business. And if you prefer Singapore Airlines to Europe, have a look for the usual two business seats Houston – Manchester.

In order to book these flights you need Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles. The airline doesn’t make the awards available to partner airlines. Most of you have access to Singapore Airlines miles since the Krisflyer program is a transfer partner of all of the major bank transferable currencies – Chase, Amex, Citi, Capital One, and Brex.

Since Singapore is a member of Star Alliance, it’s possible to include United Airlines domestic award seats to get to and from these flights in the U.S. using their Star Alliance award chart. It’s also possible to book connections beyond Singapore.

You can use United’s Polaris lounges. The product includes lie flat seats, generally excellent service, and “Book the Cook” where you choose in advance what the airline will have for you to eat on board if you wish.

  1. SFO Polaris lounge sucks unless you’re dining in the restaurant area which I didn’t try because it was a 45 minute wait just to get in. The lounge does not feel high end at all. It’s packed like every other lounge these days. To have the same luxury travel experience today as people did 20 years ago you have to be flying airlines where credit card points don’t get you anything.

  2. ANA rtw is 125k MR, including to Singapore. I wouldn’t flip anything other than Cap1 or Citi to SQ.

  3. Might want to correct this:

While Singapore flights 31/32 will have 4-8 business class award seats available at the AAdvantage level (128.5k)

  4. May I suggest that Singapore Airlines could give pyjamas for long haul flights and better amenities kit. Use amenities kit by Emirates as a good example.

  5. Even the saver fares are 214K roundtrip. Is that kind of pricey? Do they allow a stop over for that price? Would like to stop at ICN on the outbound and at TYO on the return.
