United Airlines is moving from concourse A to B in Seattle. This allows airlines with international flights to use the vacated international capable gates on Concourse A. And it’s going to mean opening a new United Club there as well to replace the current one at gate A9.

Amex Tripled Seattle’s Centurion Lounge Space Two Years Ago To Fix Crowding—It’s Still Full, But At Least The Coffee Improved
I had been to the old Seattle American Express Centurion lounge several times, but hadn’t been to the new expanded one since it opened two years ago. Located in the airport’s Central Terminal mezzanine above the food court, they went from having just 4,500 square feet to about 14,000 square feet – a legitimately large lounge.
Marriott Guest Refuses To Put Up With Hotel Denying Elite Benefits—Hands Staff A Form Demanding $100 Cash Penalty
One Sheraton guest chronicles their Kafkesque quest to have the Sheraton Grand Seattle honor Marriott elite benefits. Traveler reports are that they’ve been out of compliance for years, and becoming even less customer friendly, which saddens me – because I used to much like this hotel.
Japan Airlines 787 Strikes Parked Delta 737’s Tail in Seattle As Puerto Vallarta Flight De-Iced
On Wednesday, February 5 a taxiing Japan Airlines aircraft collided with a stationary Delta Air Lines plane in Seattle.
At approximately 10:17 a.m. Pacific time, multiple departments responded to an incident on a taxi lane between the S Concourse and the south airport maintenance hangars. The Japan Airlines Boeing 787 struck the tail section of a parked Delta Boeing 737 operating as flight 1921 to Puerto Vallarta.

Watch: Delta Flight from Cancun Erupts in Fire After Landing in Seattle, Evacuation Video Goes Viral
The fire started after an electrical cord was plugged into the Airbus aircraft, causing sparks to ignite near the nose of the plane. Pilots had smelled smoke and initiated the emergency evacuation. Evacuation chutes were deployed, and passengers began exiting the aircraft. Video showed some passengers walking on the wing to exit the aircraft. Some passengers were able to deplane via the jet bridge before the evacuation was fully underway. No serious injuries were reported.
Police Body Cam Footage Reveals Pilot’s Love Triangle, Cheating With Delta Flight Attendant
The pilot seems to be dating this flight attendant and it doesn’t seem like a brand new relationship, either, so there appears to have been… overlap. The flight attendant was on her way out of the house, and had spent the night. She appears to be wearing a Delta (purple) uniform and is reportedly Seattle-based.
Rumor: American Airlines Adding Seattle Flight Attendant Base
American had planned to fly Seattle to Bangalore and to Shanghai. Neither flight materialized. American isn’t even flying Seattle – London this winter. They aren’t operating long haul at all from Seattle. So it’s been a question mark whether Seattle would actually be a long haul city for American at all – whether their ‘L.A. replacement’ wasn’t one after all, and the airline would just shrink in the Pacific.
So I was surprised by the rumor – not necessarily endorsed – that aviation watchdog JonNYC passes along about the airline adding a flight attendant base in Seattle.
Looks Like American Airlines Plans To Fly Seattle – Shanghai
This filing by Alaska certainly suggests Seattle – Shanghai is at least still alive, and hints by American to employees in March that they could fly Seattle to Singapore suggest that they’re still working on a strategy that could come to fruition for Seattle-based Asia flying, perhaps when the new Boeing 787-9s that American has on order begin to deliver.
