Aeroplan is offering 2500 miles for new members after first activity in the account. That doesn’t seem like a lot, but because of a quirk in Aeroplan’s program that can be leveraged into 20,000 miles worth of travel.

LanPass 5000 point signup bonus
LanChile’s LanPass program is offering a signup bonus of 5000 kilometers plus additional bonus points for booking trips on their website. Offer is valid through December 31, 2007 and is restricted to residents of Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay, the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Spain and Germany. (Hat tip to Free Frequent Flyer Miles.) I took advantage of a similar signup bonus last year and the 5000 points posted instantly. While I haven’t much used the program since, there are some really nice options in it. LanPass is a member of oneworld (a partner of American, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, etc.) and there are a few values in their distance-based award chart. Pointrs transfers from Starwood to LanPass can be especially lucrative.
New Delta Account Signup Bonus
Delta is offering 1000 miles for new frequent flyer account signups and 5000 miles for booking a Delta flight with an American Express business card. Offer appears valid through April 15th. Update: Turns out to have been targeted – sorry!
United Promo Signup Tool
I hadn’t seen this before, and have been wanting such a tool ever since Dave Friedman’s excellent site stopped working maybe three years ago — a website that finds United Mileage Plus promotions and automaticallly signs you up for them. The only caveat is that the tool doesn’t discriminate between better or worse promotions, so if there are two out there which are mutually exclusive (don’t permit double dipping) you’ll wind up getting the first one the tool finds. But for busy people without the time or inclination to specifically track what’s available at any given time, this is outstanding.
Northwest Small Business Program Signup Bonus
If you enter promo code BTN06 while signing up for BizPerks, the Northwest Airlines small business program, you’ll receive 50,000 bonus Biz Perks points. These covert to, say, 5 free club passes and 5 free drink coupons or a domestic upgrade and a couple club passes. The offer expires September 30th. Update: To qualify for the points you need a flight in full fare coach (B fare) or higher by September 30th credited to the Bizperks account. Still worth signing up just in case, but no longer the gimme it first appeared.
USAirways Club Signup Bonus
Through February 11, USAirways is offering 10,000 Dividend Miles for signing up for a lounge membership with promo code CLB10. That’s a pretty good bonus offer, but while USAirways has some breathing room to operate I’m not sure I’d be investing in anything that last’s a full year with them. They may well be around, but I’d rather fly to Vegas and put the money on black. Better return that way. Besides, it still offends me that USAirways charges extra for accessing partner lounges. If I just wanted access to the club on the carrier that I was flying on the day that I was flying with them, I’d probably buy an Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge membership.
