Even though the crazy 100,000-mile signup bonuses for Citibank American Airlines credit cards have probably expired (the original emails including the links said they’d expire October 31 — though of course anyone who wishes could still try to use the links and report back), there are still some hugely lucrative bonuses out there.
Gone are the days of 15,000-mile signup bonuses… 20,000-miles signup bonuses… 25,000-mile signup bonuses as the ‘best offers’.
Citibank is still offering a 75,000-mile signup bonus on each of three different co-branded American Airlines credit cards after $4000 in spend within six months, and first year fee waived.
They’re also offering these cards with 50,000-mile signup bonuses after $2000 in spend within four months, first year fee waived.
Both sets of offers are valid through February 28, 2011.
Update: Link to card application fixed.
You cannot apply from these landing pages. Perhaps they will work later on, but right now you just get an error message if you try to apply.
I took advantage of the 75K and 100K offers that expired on Oct 31. Do you think I can cancel those cards after my miles post and get these cards?
The landing page worked for me.
I get an error page.
I’m rather partial to the 15-25K bonuses on DEBIT cards. No hit to credit for opening a checking account.
For those still looking for a 50k/$750 bonus here is a link that expires 11/30/2010-www.travel.citicards.com.
A variant of the 75k Citi AA offer expiring Feb. 28, 2011 but without the companion certificate has gone live at
http://www.travel2.citicards.com according to SuperG03’s message #2848 at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milesbuzz/1110784-american-airlines-card-75-000-sign-up-bonus-190.html . I tried it and was able to click through the landing page to an application page, but did not try applying.
At the suggestion of another FlyerTalker, SuperG03 also created a new FlyerTalk discussion thread about this new offer at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milesbuzz/1144726-citi-american-airlines-card-75k-miles-bonus-thru-feb-2011-a.html .
Also, when I followed mommafrica’s instructions and went to http://www.travel.citicards.com, I saw an offer that claimed an expiration date of October 31, 2010.
