On May 4 at 9pm Eastern, Milepoint will host an online chat with the President of the American AAdvantage program.
This is the launch of an ongoing series to offer frequent travelers a chance to interact with the people running the frequent flyer and frequent guest programs they participate in.
If you can’t make the live chat — and if you have any interest in the American Airlines AAdvantage program, you should — but you have a question that you’d like answered, you can submit your question in advance. There’ll be a chat ranscript published afterward to read the answers in.
I miss those similar chats at FT where we can win some great prizes! So, will the tradition continue at MP? 🙂
Personally I would like to see those who’ve achieved 1 Million Miles (Lifetime Advantage Gold) and 2 Million Miles (Lifetime Advantage Platinum) receive added benefits than their respective categories receive. As an example, when you reach Lifetime Gold you get the same benefits as someone who just qualified Gold for their first year. The same with Lifetime Platinum. I think the Lifetime Golds and Platinums should be recognized separately for their achievements. As a business owner I think a flier who has been loyal for many years and achieved Lifetime status is more valuable in the long term than someone who just qualified their first year or so. It’s important to award Golds, Platinums, and Executive Platinums for their achievements, but I think it’s equally important to award someone who has achieved lifetime status. This gives the lifetime member more benefits and it’s something for the Annually qualifing Golds or Platinums to shoot for. JMO.
Thanks,
Jim
