News and notes from around the interweb:
- “Thank You Beyoncé of Delta”
- The ‘Welcome to Cleveland’ Sign on a Roof Near Milwaukee Airport
- Via @BrianSumers passengers on an Allegiant flight opened the exit door and evacuated themselves even though their plane was at the gate in Boise.
- After a United flight with rudder problems enroute from Chicago to London diverted to near-freezing Goose Bay, passengers were put up in unheated army barracks with insufficient blankets while crew were put up in a hotel for crew rest requirements. United tweeted that the crew needed rest, while passengers could rest onboard later.
An unfortunate circumstance, options are limited, but given that United flies 757s between the US and Europe — and Westbound in Winter Goosebay might as well be referred to as a United focus city — they really ought to have better ground preparations.
Last sentence says Goosebay. Should be Goose Bay.
