- Via Brian Sumers at Skift United says Airbus won’t cut prices because of a most favored nation clause in a deal they did with American, dropping price below what American paid requires them to write American a check. Scott Kirby, who became President of American after that deal was done, thinks once the clause expires Airbus will drop price and become a more attractive supplier.
- Last year American Express sued Tori Spelling over unpaid credit card bills. Now they’re going after Iggy Azalea.
- Aeroflot resumes codeshares on Delta domestic flights I’m surprised any business will touch Russia with a 10 foot pole these days, I had to check to make sure this wasn’t Fake News: Delta is colluding with the Russians to influence consumer purchasing behavior of goods in America. 😉
- Dining for miles company Rewards Network has been sold
- The Southwest Airlines passenger removed from a flight over an emotional support animal tells a different story: she says she did mention the allergy, but was seated a safe distance away and made no demands, but was forced off the flight because “she is: a woman of color and of the Islamic faith.” (HT: Reid F.) This isn’t the first time Southwest has seen an accusation like this.
