Singapore Airlines has announced a fourth US city with non-stop Singapore service: Seattle. That will mean they’ll fly non-stop from Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle — in addition to flying Houston – Manchester, UK – Singapore and New York JFK – Frankfurt – Singapore.

Seattle service will start three times weekly September 3, 2019 and will go four times weekly the following month. It will be operated by an Airbus A350-900 aircraft with 42 business, 24 premium economy, and 187 economy seats. This is not the Airbus A350 ‘ultra long range’ aircraft which features only premium seats.

Here’s the schedule:

Seattle – Singapore, 10:40 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.+1, SQ27 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Singapore – Seattle, 9:25 a.m. – 9:05 a.m., SQ28 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

The fourth weekly flight to be added in October 2019 will operate on Sundays.

With Singapore’s Alaska Airlines partnership and codesharing relationship they’ll have conecting feed for the Singapore non-stop and can draw traffic from cities that do not already have one-stop service to the city-state.

The flight isn’t showing up for sale yet. Once it is it’s worth checking award availability — when Singapore loads a new flight award space is usually quite good when redeeming Krisflyer miles (and Singapore’s Krisflyer is a transfer partner of American Express, Chase, and Citibank).
