The Terms of This New Hilton Promo Say It’s Targeted – But It’s Not

Hilton has a new promotion, 2500 bonus points with your first stay through January 31, and 5000 bonus points with your second stay by that time, for a total of 7500 bonus points.

Registration is required for the promotion. The terms say the offer is targeted — “valid and exclusive to the recipient of the email invitation” — yet the promotion page not only lets anyone register, it even suggests joining the program “to register for this promotion.” I didn’t receive an email of this offer, however I was able to register without difficulty. Others have reported the same.

There’s no reason not to register for this promotion, 7500 points won’t be hard to pick up. I value Hilton points at $0.004 apiece, which is better than a hole in the head as my grandfather used to say.

Even if you don’t expect to stay at Hiltons, sometimes bookings come along that you don’t plan for, and you’ll never remember to go back and register later. So taking care of this now just makes sense on the if-come.

  2. I get an error message when I try to log in – on two different browsers, with both mine and my husband’s login.

  3. Didn’t work for me neither. Says I’m not eligible for the promotion. I’m new to Hilton Honors and signed up for an HH account just to try and get this promotion. Doesn’t seem to work.

  4. Link just goes to page that only gives option to sign up for HHonors (i.e. new members) – no login for existing members. T&Cs also state this is for new members only.
