News and notes from around the interweb:
- “7 secret tricks to scoring a cheap business class seat”, advice from me and from Zach Honig in US News and “5 myths about premium economy” in USA Today from me along with Honig and Johnny Jet.
- Iceland will have more American tourists than actual residents next year
- 2 free Fairmont Hotels upgrade vouchers
- Targeted: 1000 free Aeroplan miles for taking a quick quiz. Free miles, and of course useful to extend the life of your points. (HT: Doctor of Credit)
You answer 5 questions ‘myth’ or ‘truth’ and you get the points whether you’re right or wrong (but the ‘correct’ answer to each question is myth). Most people won’t get the miles though, but I took the quiz anyway for ‘fun’.
- 1000 free points for joining Stash Hotel Rewards
- Starwood American Express cardholders can register to receive 5000 bonus points for completing 15 Starwood stays between October 18 and December 18. That’s 7.5 stays per month, which is kind of a lot for people.
- EVA has a fantastic looking new amenity kit — this is for premium economy “containing a toothbrush and toothpaste, THANN moisturizing cream and lip balm, socks, hair comb, earplugs, and sleep mask.” (HT: CK)
Thanks for the link to the post – the terms of the SPG 15 Nights promo were conflicting as it said 15 stays, then went on to say 15 nights later on. I checked with SPG and they have confirmed it is 15 nights, not stays. So…a little easier to complete I guess.
wow!! that amenity kit from EVA’s premium economy is better than most airlines’ business class or even First
