News and notes from around the interweb:
- Frontier Airlines 90% off sale with promo code SAVE90 for bookings made by Wednesday August 29 and travel September 5 – October 4. Friday and Sunday travel excluded, and some routes excluded. Of course the discount applies only to base fare and Frontier pricing is mostly about taxes and fees.
Copyright: zhukovsky / 123RF Stock Photo - Up to 125% bonus on purchased Avianca LifeMiles through September 18 (just under 1.5 cents per point). (HT: One Mile at a Time)
- JetBlue no longer requires members to be family to pool their points
- 20% off JetBlue redemptions booked through Wednesday for travel September 17 – November 6. Excludes October 8 and no discount for business class. No Friday or Sunday travel either. (HT: Stephen Pepper)
- Amtrak says it will eliminate routes that lack positive train control
Oh man, that Amtrak proposal is terrible. Living in the Midwest (the actual Midwest, not Chicago) Amtrak is agonizingly close to a travel option but fall SO short in terms of scheduling and limited destinations.
Also NOBODY WANTS TO RIDE A BUS!
i do love that video.
Important to say in the title that you actually have to fly on a frontier airlines plane to get 90% off, which is a dealbreaker for many 🙂
