Gary Leff,
Is there an airline passenger union? I was one of those engineers who determined aircraft interior configurations. The size and spacing of seats was geared more to how many seats can be packed into the passenger sear area. Nothing of concern for the safety and well-being of the passengers. A unionized passenger group could push Congress for legislation regulating the amount of area for each passenger. Also, the danger that overhead baggage causes during an accident. All baggage would become missiles and be scattered around hindering the safe exit from the plane. The panic would kill more people, at least in those who haven’t been decapitated from the flying baggage. Also would create more air per passenger in the cabin. Yes, I am saying get rid of the overhead baggage storage (but not the PSU’s).
While some are unlucky to run into scumbag giuliani shaving at the table…
Interesting stories about the airb&b rentals. So should one decide to use one of the major league home/apartment share services, which one is preferred by those who actually rent the various properties.
Gary – Great story about airport lounge encounters. My two are Rodney Dangerfield, and former SecState Gen. Colin Powell, both of whom I figured would rather not be bothered as they were walking into private VIP lounge or conference rooms. Still fun to anticipate how you might see! Thanks for sharing this story!
I saw Patton Oswald in the Alaska lounge in PDX. I saw Orville Redenbacher at ORD a billion years ago he was drunk. I was once behind Billy Zane in F fr Ord-LAX. I was once 2 rows behind the President of Barbados in F MIA-Barbados.
