Exclusive Entry: Sip $150 Champagne at Paris’s Extime Lounge, Courtesy of American, British Airways and El Al [Roundup]

News and notes from around the interweb:

  • With the American and British Airways lounges still closed at Paris Charles de Gaulle, a lot of customers have gotten to know the Extime lounge (it’s being by several oneworld airlines, plus air baltic, Air Serbia, El Al, and a few others as well). It’s hardly an exceptional lounge but one thing seems especially notable… $50+ retail champagne, that would cost $100 to $150 or more in a restaurant:

  • Short-term rental host, “did you forget to clean the oven?” Charges $150 fee for that, and because the unit’s towels became discolored when the guest did the wash using the detergent provided.

Got charged $150 in additional cleaning fee

  1. That “hawk” girl has a dumb dumb look … and that security lady sort of overdid the pat-down .

  2. Back in the day, Casino “security” would have dragged that idiot out back and broken both of knee caps and finished off with a good wood shampoo. We really need to return to the times when there were consequences for your actions – That’s why we can’t have nice things.

  3. The 2B Extime lounge was a much better lounge than I expected. Good food, not crowded. It even has kosher food for El Al flights. Did not notice that about the champagne, though. Also, I wish it was on the other side of passport control.

  4. Why are you stopping at the $150 bottle of champagne? The Mera lounges in CUN have $800* bottles of tequila and vodka you can sip courtesy of Amex and Capital One!

*It’s Patron and Grey Goose, but at Las Vegas nightclubs bottle service for those is $800 with tax and tip! Or maybe you could just use retail prices rather than try to be a tabloid. I like a lot of your articles, but running these clickbaited headlines is just disappointing.

  5. @Alert
So what’s the proper facial expression when getting molested during security theater? That’s probably her first molestation if she’s only flown 4 times. I giggle because I’m ticklish.

  6. @H2O … The more a girl is tickled , the louder she laughs , and twists and turns wildly . Not her dumb-dumb look .

That said , she could have given security a slight push , by accident of course .

  7. When I see a name like Haliey, I wonder if the parents were trying to be cute or just can’t spell.

  8. She is supposedly a redneck girl social media influencer out of Tennesee.
Befitting her mode, she likely chose not to go through the scanner, because aliens or some shit.
As a result, her followers had the pleasure of posting many racist memes and comments.
You’ll see that if you click through.
