  1. Don’t pilots have More Important duties than coming out and congratulating someone who has logged miles ? I think so . Simply give him a free lollypop .

  2. I had it happen when I reached 1 million miles, at IAD, before departure. The interaction lasted about 30 seconds. I’ve seen them come out and thank customers for flying with them, again before departure. I trust them to decide for themselves if they have the time to thank the customers who keep them in business.

  3. That person complaining about the forward bathroom has a twitter account full of them complaining about everything and anything. Seem like a genuine nightmare of a customer.

  4. About the off-duty uniformed police officer helping out their relatives: had one come by my house one day, after a lady rear ended my car, to tell me how it wasn’t her fault. Told him I couldn’t understand the logic and the legalese he was spouting, and to talk to my insurance company. Thought it was weird that the police would be involved, and even make a personal visit, for something so minor. Then realized the guy had the same last name as the lady driver lol.

  5. So TSA let the DPD officer through the security checkpoint. Why isn’t there a report on a TSA person getting disciplined? As for the DPD officer carrying a weapon, I expect that such a person would carry at least a hide out weapon wherever they go due to ongoing threats against the police.

  6. DenPd brings gun into airport and only lost 2 days pay. I call that BULL (&&));;&?, she should have been suspended without pay for a month and been banned from the airport unless ticketed travel for 2 years.

The Denver police union and department should be ashamed of this.

  7. The cop was a woman. Frankly, she deserved the punishment any other person would receive for breaching security. And that TSA supervisor needs to be fired. Cops love to pull that crap at the airport. It needs to be treated accordingly.

  8. I absolutely think you’re wrong about the first class bathroom. On the occasions when I’m fortunate enough to fly first there’s a cavalcade of coach passengers tromping through first class on a regular basis, to the point where it’s just about impossible to prioritize first class usage as you suggest. The first class toilet should strictly be for first class.

  9. Why do bags need to rest on a seat? Are they tired or put there by an oaf who doesn’t understand that the bag is probably dirty on the bottom?

  10. I hit the MM mark on American last month. I was recognised by being told they had miscatered the flight and I had no food.

    Happy AA MM recognition!

  11. @Alert: Nope. They’re just there waiting for the bags to be loaded.

I don’t know what the big deal with the DPD officer is, sounds like a slap on the wrist offense and the wrist was slapped.
