News and notes from around the interweb:
- I have to give the gate agent for a Dallas – Harrisburg flight credit for being quick-witted, but returning a compliment with an insult is so very on-brand here.
Hey @AmericanAir . Check your girl flight 546 out of dfw gate D18. Hey, she talked sh*t with a smile, but still talked sh*t… but after 8 years of being punished for my beliefs I’m going to flip the coin. Is this the new American Airlines way to treat us like the garbage… pic.twitter.com/I5L45XyRyd

- American Express is offering a 35% bonus on transfers to Marriott through December 31, 2024. That means 1,000 Membership Rewards points transfers to 1,350 Marriott points. I wouldn’t even be tempted with a 100% bonus. 200% bonus… maybe?
- Link your DoorDash and Lyft accounts for benefits with each
- Amex has a 15% transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles through November 30th. I wouldn’t do this speculatively, but it might tip the scales to an Amex transfer over moving points from another currency if you need LifeMiles for a specific award.
- Capital One has a 20% transfer bonus to British Airways through December 1 – also not something to make a speculative move for, but worth being aware of.
While Bilt Rent Day transfer bonuses are one day only, they don’t get enough credit for the sheer value of the bonus – November 1 was up to 100% on British Airways transfers.
- ‘Black money’ scammer arrested at Dulles airport, Customs confiscates $28,500 in fake money
- Former American Airlines CEO Doug Parker endorses Kamala Harris honestly this might hurt her chances along certain margins.
"In an election where the economy is the most important thing, what I know is the vast majority of those CEOs, certainly the ones that I'm in contact with regularly, are not going to vote for Donald Trump," says Fmr. @AmericanAir CEO Doug Parker. pic.twitter.com/44XiV7vQO5

- I visited America’s ‘most MAGA’ resort – here’s what happened
Big Cypress Lodge is where Trump mega fans go on holiday
There’s a lot of “clickbait” here…and I fell for it. There’s an “olde adage” wrongly attributed to Abraham Lincoln, ““Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.” Many of the people compelled to express their opinions on public conveyances in very overt ways are the same narcissistic people who tell everyone about their last bowel movement on social media. I DON’T CARE what your opinion is. If I want it…I’ll ask! Sometimes it’s better to “remain silent” and not try to stir up trouble and “remove all doubt”. And I just violated this myself!
Perhaps Poppie Platt coming from, what will shortly be, a Progressive, weak and woke governed Third World craphole, would be grateful for a few MAGA/MEGA (Make England Great Again) inhabitants there.
Anyone wearing clothing supporting either incompetent running for president deserves rudicule.
“Anyone wearing clothing supporting either incompetent running for president deserves rudicule.”
No. They don’t. That’s the problem right now. And you wonder why there’s so much anger and hate in America.
From a guy that wears no political shirts.
Doug Parker endorsement. Heh, heh, heh, heh…
I saw that on CNBC and thought “if you really want to help her, don’t. Seriously, dude: DON’T”
They can insult others all day and night, but immediately demand to see the manager when it’s their turn for ridicule. Such is the juvenile conservative mind.
In 250 years there has never been such a dismal candidate where everyone has gone to one extreme and the other side has realized that they are acting like rock star fans rather then diligent voters who know the issues rather then the hype.
The guy proves it where he has purchased the merch of the candidate just like he bought his Kiss merch.
I believe that it has been said you can lead a educated person to vote with facts but the uneducated drinks the kool aid
He wore his costume and he knows it.
