I ate some of this cheese yesterday. Today I found out that the hotel just “tops off” the (unrefrigerated) cheese every morning. The bottom INCH was SOLID MOLD.

You’re not allowed to stop and watch the Las Vegas Formula One Grand Prix without a ticket and stopping in a pedestrian walking zone or on a bridge with a view will get you a ticket, a fine or worse trouble. Moldy cheese; the depth of ignorance is exceeded only by the need to draw attention to oneself. Cheese IS mold, that’s what cheese is. Fermented dairy.
Las Vegas is not “evil”. The blocking of viewing access is an F1 standard and done at all their races. As for stopping on over street walkways, that is done to cut down on people selling crap, begging and harassing tourists. BTW they don’t bother tourists stopping to take photos and any more stringent enforcement last week was by F1.
Agreed that the TSA agent was a joke. As for the uncomfortable trip on Frontier…what do you expect on a LCC?
F-1 in Vegas ( or anywhere else for that matter) is a joke. People stupid enough to pay asinine prices to watch prima donna drivers go around in circles on a track for 1 1/2 – 2 hours must be idiots.
First, I actually appreciate a TSA agent yelling at the sheep. I can’t tell you (even in the PreCheck Lane) the number of times someone blocks the belt totally clueless to the process. It’s not that hard to understand.
Now I have no idea why this person would think their $49 ticket on Frontier would get them anything beyond something akin to riding in the back of a chicken hauling truck. The stupidity of the human race knows no bounds.
The loss of points on a credit card account is the reason that I don’t play that game. Give me something that I can exchange for cash and I will do it every so often to keep the owed balance low. Chase shut down my many accounts with them in the spring so I don’t have anything good to say about them. I hope Citibank is found liable for the monetary cost of the points and is forced to pay for them and the lawyers that are involved. Maybe a good outcome will lead to banks and airlines treating customers better in regards to points and miles accounts. As for the underlying cause, it would be interesting if the lawsuit uncovered the reason that unauthorized charges continued to appear. If they are across a number of cards, maybe mail is being intercepted or digital security is compromised. If it is from one bank, maybe insider compromise is happening.
You know Gary, I don’t take you for an idiot so I KNOW that there is NO way that you didn’t know that the TSA video was fake….just look at the uniforms. I get it, it’s sensational and it gets people like me to comment but I still regard you as a very valuable source of information in the travel world. You can do just a little bit better.
Happy Thanksgiving by the way.
“Cheese IS mold” is incorrect. Fermentation can be by fungi (including molds) or by bacteria. Two fermentation bacteria used in foods are lactobacillus bacteria and acetobacter bacteria. Some cheeses (such as cheddar, Swiss, and Parmesan) are mostly lactobacillus bacteria fermentation with a small amount of yeast (which is a fungi but not a mold) fermentation for flavoring.
What security checkpoint at ATL still has old-school bag checks like that? They’ve switched everything to the newer style with stations.
