Earlier this week I wrote,
Rumor: “[American] has begun installing live television on its [Boeing 777-300ER] fleet. The live feeds will initially be CNN, CNBC, BBC and Sports24. It will all be complimentary. The 2-class 772s and 787s will also get the live TV.”
Today JonNYC writes at TravelingBetter.com:
They are trialing the PAC product on a 777-300 prototype and a 787-8 prototype and soon on a 777-200.
So, not, at this point, accurate to say “AA has begun installing live television on its 77W fleet” nor is it anything– at least as far as I can tell– more than a trial, or being called that. 2 prototypes in action only at this juncture.
I take this to be the product they’re trialing, from Panasonic which provides internet on American’s overwater fleet:
something tells me they will not be offering Aljazeera America in-flight…
@Coldagglutanin, Have you ever watched Al Jazeera America? If you prefer opinion over reporting and talking heads over correspondents, it’s probably not for you.
Oh snap
CNN but not FOX NEWS? Very Interesting. I have a feeling that won’t last long. With so many elite fliers being from the Dallas area.
Where’s Fox Business?
