Avion Express flight 8242 from Milan Bergamo airport in Italy to Vilnius, Lithuania landed on the airport’s runway 19. It “veered right off the runway onto soft ground” and then proceeded to make another turn and head off the grass and back onto the runway instead of coming to a stop. The Lithuanian airline’s Airbus A320 then taxied onto the apron. Like it never happened!
This A320 coming off the runway in Vilnius is one thing, but to then power your way out of it and continue to stand having been offroading in a commercial jet? That’s pretty wild. pic.twitter.com/FuX83Pn4vC

The aircraft was damaged, reportedly bottom panels torn off. This is the first runway excursion at Vilnius. It’s not yet clear the cause. The airport closed for about two and a half hours.
Pick up that much crap and the engines probably need to be overhauled.
Italy moment.
Two comments here: 1) The aircraft was hydroplaning big time, the video on Reddit is clearer on this point. 2) I’m not sure that the Pilot(s) “pretended that it didn’t happen”, that would suggest that they expected to not file the required paperwork upon the completion of the flight. Yes, the pilot(s) were able to get back onto a concrete taxiway, and it makes sense that they would taxi to the gate. Presumably, at that point the incident was recorded.

Probably? Logic tells that’s an incorrect statement.
Possibly? Maybe? Those are more fitting. I’m confident you don’t have enough information to assess the damage.
Meh. When he can match Capt Joe Patroni, LMK.

Airbus have anti skid low medium or high options. Regardless which was selected the don’t aquaplane.
I appricate his commitment to his passengers and getting them to the gate on time.
But had it been a Boeing aircraft the stock would have dropped another 25%.
Lots of Airbus issues lately.
Funny how you stress the fact it was an Airbus airplane like it matters. Just saying…
“Pretends it didn’t happen”. Or, you could have spent 10 seconds searching on Google for the ATC recordings where the controller asks the pilot immediately if there is any damage and whether they can taxi to,the gate.
Absolutely unprofessionell, how you could continue taxi after such a damage and going off the runway?
No inspection was asked to be done by fire bridge before continue going to the gate… The mud was sucked into the engines possible destroyed them rather than having the engines quickly switched off preventing further damage. Guys this is high tech toys..
And second, probably wrong usage of reversers and or possible wrong manual breaking!
Aquaplaning at low speeds doesn’t take the aircraft off the runway, maybe some magical forces or the earth rotation – joke…..
Probably inexperienced pilot without having winter conditions, somebody from South America who saw snow first time, flying without an EASA pilot license, maybe also low experiences pay to fly student even…..?

Anti skid will not prevent aquaplaning. It only prevents skidding. They are completely different phenomenon.
