An hour into Friday’s American Airlines AA2408 from Phoenix to Minneapolis the captain decided to divert to Denver when an “unruly passenger” who told seatmates that “he was on cocaine” locked himself in the lavatory before flight attendants got him to come out when he “eventually li[t..] up marijuana in the cabin.”
Apparently the pilot thought the passenger belonged in Denver found the man to be a safety risk and figured he could make the point to Denver’s airport about the need for marijuana disposal bins.

Once on the ground in Denver the man was confronted by law enforcement and taken away by an emergency medical technician. You can see in passenger video that he’s still got a joint in his mouth when the plane is boarded, and that he’s wheeled off from the gate area once out of the aircraft.
In the video “the pilot was heard asking the first 13 rows of passengers to exit the plane so they could remove the man in question” and our hero “reportedly punched one of the other passengers as they attempted to exit.”
The passenger apparently was not Conrad Hilton. And he was flying coach, so he didn’t even choose American Airlines for the chocolate chip cookies.
If the man needs to be returned from Denver to Phoenix, he’s in luck — because for some time American Airlines operated flight ‘420’ on that route.
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I’m fine! 😀
Hysterical write-up, well done
Riding the AA skybus gets more exciting all the time! Might as well be high if you have to be crammed into steerage class seating.
Enjoy your fright
Someone needs to go beat his stoner @ss for inconveniencing the other pax, many of whom had important business. Should be barred for life from any form of public transport
Does this qualify the stoner to join the mile high club?
Hey, DFWSteve, your harshing my buzz 😉
