An Unheard Of 6x Status Miles Offer: TAP Air Portugal’s Limited-Time Anniversary Celebration

TAP Air Portugal is offering sextuple status miles. It’s the sixth anniversary of the TAP Miles&Go, and they’re offering 6x status miles on all bookings made at flytap.com by November 10, 2024 for travel through November 5, 2025, across all TAP routes. However the offer is capped at 6,000 bonus qualifying miles.

Of course, this is stackable with status-earning from their U.S. credit card winghich gives you 20% of points earned on the card count towards status, up to 10,000 status miles.

And TAP Miles&Go lets you redeem miles towards keeping status or achieving a higher level of status.

All of these offers are stackable. An existing Gold member needs 50,000 status miles to keep their status, which is Star Alliance Gold providing lounge access even when traveling domestically on United.

Terms and conditions:

Campaign valid for tickets issued only on flyTAP between 00:00 on November 6, 2024, and 23:59 on November 10, 2024, mainland Portugal time;

Offer valid for travel (round trip or one way) on flights operated by TAP and TAP Express, to be made between November 6, 2024, and November 5, 2025;

The number of promotional miles (Status Miles) to be credited is calculated according to the total miles credited for the flight (fare purchased plus status bonus if applicable), up to a maximum limit of 6,000 Status Miles per Customer;

To earn 6x extra Status Miles on the flight, the booking must be made under the campaign conditions, including adding the promocode, and the Client must enter the TAP Miles&Go frequent flyer number of all the passengers on the booking to earn extra miles in their respective accounts;

Status Miles from the campaign will be credited within 15 working days of the regular miles being credited to the account/accounts. Promotional Status Miles awarded under the campaign will count towards the qualifying period in force on the date of travel;

For operational reasons, a discount of €0.60 is given when using the promocode.

  1. And, just for the record, their credit card is issued by Cardless, a singualry appropriate name for a credit card issuing company as they have a policy to never approve a card to anyone who already has, or had, a Cardless card. Inane!

  2. How does this work? Say i did roundtrip JFK-LIS, which is about 6733 miles. That will be multiplied by 6x, so the entire flight is 40398 miles?

  3. If it weren’t for all the relatively easy airline status match offers going around during this year, I would have considered the TAP promo.
