News and notes from around the interweb:
- The guy with the most credit cards had 1497 over 12 years ago. Although someone may be catching up: they were approved for 24 Bank of America cards on the same day. That did, however, garner some attention from the bank…
- Canada’s Air Miles appears to be blocking awards but instead of ‘partner airline inventory’ as we’re used to seeing this concept applied, not all members are allowed to redeem points for all merchandise. (HT: Daniel W.)
- Nigeria’s Arik Air is resuming service after a brief shut down over issues paying for fuel and insurance.
- Oh those silly French, air traffic controllers striking for the 14th time this year.
- A panda sitting in a passenger seat. “Fastening the seat belt, wearing a diaper, eating bamboos.” Long haul, though, they fly cargo.
- The TSA had claimed commercial flights to Cuba wouldn’t start without an agreement for air marshals. They trumpeted that they had such an agreement in place. That turns out to be false. And that probably makes flights safer.
- The Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite™ Mastercard®, which offers 50,000 miles after $5000 spend within the first 3 months of cardmembership, comes with American Airlines Club membership. No annual fee authorized users get access to the club as well. (offer expired)
For the first time I got a packet from American Airlines about my club membership coming from the card, and it included Admirals Club luggage tags.
I received those tag also, what are they good for? Just to advertise that you have membership?
The guy with 24 cards ruined it for everyone. And he needs to post and brag about it.
The ahole wants to get the loophole closed. And I suspect it has closed.
Sure, let’s post a viral photo of a panda doll that was debunked four years ago.

@Gary – Any idea why anyone would want to use the tags? I got my set recently, but don’t really see the need to use them, since you need other things to check in anyway.
