News and notes from around the interweb:
- Nice.
DoNotPay’s GPT AI bot has something called “tag along” mode.
Every time you visit a large company’s website and do something, it aggressively asks them for a refund, discount or credit, if it feels like you deserve it.
Just got me back $19 for poor airplane Wi-Fi.

- LAX updates.
United, however, does not get the same treatment for Terminal 9, which CEO Scott Kirby has been angling for as a Star Alliance terminal.

- Katherine Jenkins can’t sing for the Pope because BA lost her luggage I have to imagine she’ll buy a new dress, hopefully BA will cover it.
- That feeling when.
@AmericanAir really? When you board a 16 hour non stop flight? pic.twitter.com/hCuo5GSANs

- Imagine bringing a pet in cabin and not keeping track of it.
This is a first. A cat got loose on my @SouthwestAir flight & ran around the plane like a damn track star. Finally, it was caught by some very very irritated stewardess and returned to its clueless owner.

- British Airways sent a dog to Riyadh instead of Nashville perhaps inspired by United sending a dog to Japan by mistake the day after a dog died after they forced it to travel in the overhead bin.
The ONLY animals that should be allowed in the seating compartment of an aircraft are certified “service animals”.
CATegorically that could have been a CATastrophe…so glad they were able to CATch him (or her)!
Ok but seriously…two months ago I was going through security at LGA and the guy a few people in front of me had what I thought was a neck pillow on…it wasn’t…it was his cat!
Just when you think you’ve seen it all…
Love the picture of your cat with the champagne in the foreground. You can always tell a good cat because it doesn’t knock over your champagne flute during your flight.
LAX Terminal 0 would necessitate moving the Uber/Lyft area. Where? Perhaps, the old rental car lots? As well as the current entry to LAX from Sepulveda Blvd. on the north. LAX Terminal 9 doesn’t face such issues. But, while a T8/9 combo would provide sufficient room for UA to expand, it might not be enough for a “Star Alliance” terminal. Makes a lot of sense but doable?
The whole notion of alliance terminals makes sense. JFK’s T8 is becoming the One World terminal. Given the number of gates at JFK T8, it probably is doable.
