  1. AA and BA are in a revenue-sharing joint venture. So what BA gets from it indicates something about what AA gets from it.

  2. @Gary – “earns”? You lambast AA for not earning profits from flying; instead from sale of AAdvantage miles. So you know that “earns” is akin to “profits” – even “gross profits”. But you use it in your headline anyway, knowing it is wrong.

  3. Using “earns” is not (technically) incorrect. However, it should be specified whether it’s earned revenue or earned income.
