MCO is indeed a nightmare at security. I was caught in a stalemate with employees. One half of the priority line mixes with the employee line at the x-ray belt. Employees can go directly to the machine in front of passengers. I was in a static position for a while and had no way of getting up to the machine. MCO is my home airport and I can’t avoid the poorly managed TSA system. Needless to say I have to leave very early for the airport. One hour waits are common. Priority is helpful but unpredictable.
As an Austinite who has spent way too much time connecting domestically on my way to Europe and beyond, I am wildly excited about the Austin – London flight. Now if BA would just get rid of those darn fuel surcharges on awards… I suppose I can’t have my cake and eat it, too!
