Star Alliance member Ethiopian Airlines had an issue with a Boeing 777 that they converted from passenger service over to cargo last week. When flight ET3905 flown by aircraft ET-ASL landed in Lagos, Nigeria it went off the taxiway… and its left hand landing gear went into the mud.

The plane was on the ground in Lagos for three hours before the aircraft’s tire was freed and the Boeing 777-300ER managed to get towed away to have its cargo unloaded. The plane was able to fly back to Addis Ababa on its own.
The flight crew will be driving taxis in nyc before the week is out.
Someone simply forgot to oversteer or use the wheel cams, sadly totally preventable using normal day to day technique.
