  1. Umm, the visa-free up to 10 days for ‘tourism’ to mainland China is kind of a big deal, if true, and if you can avoid getting ‘re-educated’ indefinitely.

  2. Just enough time in country to have your face scanned, walking gate analyzed, DNA matched to stolen 23 & Me records, your social network evaluated to determine who know that they are interested in, your phone downloaded and processed against all the telecom hacks of the 3 major cell phone companies and I’m sure much much more. Hmmm, no thanks.

  3. Agree with John. That’s not an unusual vehicle in India, Uber or otherwise. And really, if it gets you where you’re going without damage, do you care?

  4. I have had a free visa for tourism in China but it was only used for a 12+ hour layover in Beijing. I hope to have a longer layover sometime in the future to explore more. 10 days could be a nice side trip.

  5. Remember, it’s only still just for transiting the country.

And if B is China, you must be going country A-B-C, and country A and C cannot be the same (AKA no doing this for round trip purposes.)

Additionally, you have to stay in the zone you entered, so with virtually no exceptions, that means you fly out of the airport you flew into.

  6. What timing with the China visa requirement change. It should help some more people do the SAS Million point promo.

  7. Hi Jake from MSP.

China has eliminated the “stay in the zone you entered” restriction as part of the December 17th change. And now I am sitting on a 10 year Chinese visa expiring December 16, 2032, after spending days complaining to some old Chinese government acquaintances that this was a nuisance and if they don’t move forward our visas, it’s going to mess up some SAS million points promo chasing. 😀

  8. China is desperate for visitors. Flights have not resumed because nobody wants to do business with chicoms anymore and nobody wants to visit China to risk being locked up because they didn’t like your tweets about Chairman Xi and Winnie the Pooh.

Sorry China but you nobody will visit you anymore and 100% tariffs will be applied to all your cheap junk imports made with slave labor. Good bye!
