  1. Regarding a scammer convincing a hotel employee to grant access to their computer system – this surely explains why corporations have such stringent procedures for what their people can and cannot do. If you have an employee so ignorant that s/he will grant this guy’s request … on the phone no less … you have no choice but to curtail everyone’s responses to requests. You can’t fix stupid.

  2. We have been on Tokyo train system. It was great…. but there is NO AC in the subway….. In August with 100 degree heat and humidity it is really bad. The lines are well marked and it was great. We did not need to know how to read their language and could use the letters, numbers and colors to move well.

What we did find out was that as a tourist there is a 3 day unlimited use pass….it starts at the time you buy it and ends 72 hrs exactly later. We found this out by accident as our hotel NEVER told us about this They lost money on us as we used it so much, going from one place to another and back to the hotel etc.

The Subway rail system is very clean also.

We also went Tokyo to Kyoto on the train…. this was harder to figure out but we did get some help (harder got get since we did not speak their language)
