DJ Mustard and Companion Caught With Loaded Gun at LAX Security Checkpoint

There’s something about LAX and celebrity culture, last year a former Miss USA stole noise cancelling headphones at a security checkpoint there. Wiz Khalifa was violently arrested after riding his hoverboard through customs. Coolio — who once worked security at LAX — tried to take a stolen gun through an LAX checkpoint.

Now it seems that DJ Mustard — not to be confused with Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench — has become the latest TSA ‘good catch’. TSA at LAX must be a whole different organization than the folks in the rest of the country missing 91% – 95% of the dangerous items going through security checkpoints.

[T]he famed music producer and a friend were about to board a plane when the TSA employee detected the gun in a carry-on bag. Law enforcement tells us DJ Mustard and his friend started walking away without the bag when they were nabbed by LAX police.

The weapon in the bag was a loaded, .22 semi-automatic handgun.

Mustard was released and his companion arrested. Here Mustard says explains “I don’t know what you even talkin’ about.”

It’s worth remember though that earlier in the month a man brought a gun through a TSA checkpoint and faced no consequences whatsoever because he works for TSA. When it comes to state security, we live in a two-tiered society.
