News and notes from around the interweb:
- Elon Musk says vacations will kill you. I promote a middle ground: you’ll be happier if you don’t disconnect from work while on vacation.
- Intricate host scam being run on Airbnb
- 20% bonus on American Express transfers to Qantas through November 30
- While US airlines keep talking to Boeing about compensation, Icelandair has secured an additional 737 MAX payout from Boeing
- City National Bank Crystal Visa Infinite was way too generous and it should surprise no one that they’re gutting several benefits effective January 1. Instead of $250 airline credit per card (including $0 authorized user cards), they’re capping at $350 per account. They’re no longer covering Priority Pass guests. No more 3x earning on gas and groceries. And the companion airfare benefit goes away. And that’s after already devaluing points.
- Two doctors, detained by ICE, share their experience

Listening to Elon Musk is what WILL kill you, both financially and in your off work life.
I know Musk was making a joke; however, any CEO of a major company who works 100 hours a week needs lessons in management and building a competent and trustworthy executive team. He’s probably too busy for that though.
@John – when I read the part about him sleeping on the factory floor to keep up with production of Tesla vehicles I almost barfed. What a misguided management style. Is this what a CEO does? He probably made things worse.
