- Cathay Pacific is Offering Frequent Flyers The Opportunity to Decorate Their Homes Just Like the Airline’s Airport Lounges
The Hong Kong-based carrier is now allowing passengers to buy the same furniture that features in its up-scale premium airport lounges, including a sculptural modular sofa that frequent flyers may be accustomed to seeing in Cathay Pacific’s flagship ‘The Pier‘ First Class lounge.
The Cloverleaf sofa, designed in 1969 by Verner Panton in Denmark and sourced by Hong Kong’s luxury Scandinavian furniture retailer Manks, could be yours for just US $24,700 (HKD 192,201) or nearly four million frequent flyer miles if you can’t think of anything else to do with your points.
…Or, how about something to relax in with the Carl Hanson & Son ‘Colonial Chair’ in solid oak with padded leather cushions for a mere $3,334 or 524,640 frequent flyer miles?

Overwatch’s D.Va voice actress harassed and berated by westjet employees for the entire flight duration
byu/Eczapa inUnbelievableStuff - My take is that you brush your hair in the lavatory, not at your seat. Disagree? Many business and first class seats have mirrors. How does that change the norm, if at all?
- They say you never forget how to ride a bicycle, but this woman apparently wanted to get in some practice anyway:
Total was totaled. I wonder if it was a lithium ion battery in the cargo hold.
I agree about brushing your hair. It should be done in the toilet room because loose hairs can end up everywhere including in other people’s food if it is done in the seating area. Better yet, don’t brush hair on an airplane.
Finally, the WestJet flight attendant was out of line. The voice actress was perfectly calm and the flight attendant wasn’t. The voice actress should get monetary compensation for having to endure a hostile situation and the flight attendant needs to be retrained.
Regarding that 737-400, guessing that this is one of those times where the ‘ol standby “That’ll buff right out” just isn’t going to work…
That flight attendant was pretty patient with the guy. He used bad language, argued, and was generally unpleasant and confrontational, albeit in a somewhat passive-aggressive sort of way. On top of that he recorded her which was kind of a weasel move as well unless she knew about it and agreed to be recorded. In short his credibility is shot.
That MSN link or the Boeing fire got me “No Story”. This one worked: https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/flight-crew-barely-escapes-burning-boeing-plane-following-emergency-landing/ar-AA1tWMaf
