Unfortunate and embarrassing to see this as a legacy American Airlines employee. When Mr. Crandall was at the helm, this was NOT the norm. This is the USAir culture, I’m forgetting that we’re only American Airlines by paint scheme.
I feel bad for the traveling public, some will never know how great American Airlines was, even its newer employees. What they see now, they consider normal. What a shame.
My apologies to past and present business travelers and vacationing passengers. It was never like this.
It’s very discouraging for those of us who dedicated our lives to American Airlines.

What the travelling Public needs to be reminded that the Current American Airlines is America West in Operational Mode……not USAirways (the real LUS) but the pseudo Bride of Frankenstein created when Real LUS merged with AWA back in 2005. The Cheap assed rendition of how the Airline operates is due to penney pinching Spreadsheet analysts that come from the America West side of the operation.Real LUS Employees (hired before 2005) have tuned them OUT long ago while the AWA Desert Folk think it is no big deal. Legacy AA people shudder at every decision these people make. Doug Parker and that AWA mindset have a history of lowering the bar with everything if they can save a penney. Real LUS will tell you just how CHEAP they are.
