- United’s terminal C at Newark is getting a huge makeover complete with celebrity chef restaurants. I was invited to the public launch event for the project, and I do think this is a big deal for passenger experience, but couldn’t make it because of a long haul flight. The one important thing to know is: please, please please do not redeem miles for dining at these restaurants. The feature will be offered but it will also represent one of the worst value uses of points (e.g. 1400 miles for a $10 dining credit).
- Airbus is launching a new A330-based ‘Beluga’ cargo fleet

Lets see. I work in Manhattan and I decided to go to Oslo for a pub crawl last week. $17 pints. I think next time I am going to have to check Goa out
Weird list. It contains Goa, Hanoi, and Marrakech. But leaves off Geneva, Zurich, and Stockholm.
As for Oslo and it’s $17 pints, as a resident explained to me years ago, they basically fund their entire social welfare system with alcohol taxes. I believe the word he used to describe a system where drinkers are forced to totally support non-drinkers was “criminal”.
Wait, let me get this straight? You missed an event with celebrity chefs?????????????????!!!!!!??????
In oslo you used to have to buy food to order a beer or drink. You couldn’t just order the drink by itself. Maybe they have changed this, used to have a lot of uneaten open face sandwiches piled up on tables where people were having a few drinks together. Skol!
