Yesterday Notiflyr posted deals on Star Alliance member SAS from the US to Scandinavia starting at $318. These were are available January through mid-May and are not basic economy, so a checked bag and assigned seat is included.
Now Notiflyr has come out with something much bigger: SAS fares from around the U.S. to destinations across Europe starting at $307. This is the best sale in some time considering how broadly based it is. For instance trips from the West Coast (LAX) to several German cities start at $330 roundtrip.
Fares are valid from:
- New York
- Los Angeles
- Chicago
- Washington DC
- San Francisco
- Miami
- Possibly more
And take you to places like Athens, Milan, Frankfurt, Zurich, Amsterdam, Warsaw (this isn’t just a Paris, London, Barcelona sale though those cities are included too).
For instance:
- Chicago (CHI) to Frankfurt (FRA) from $339
- Chicago (CHI) to London (LON) from $329
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Amsterdam (AMS) from $327
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Frankfurt (FRA) from $330
- Los Angeles (LAX) to London (LON) from $321
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Milan (MIL) from $330
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Paris (PAR) from $328
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Warsaw (WAW) from $326
- Los Angeles (LAX) to Zurich (ZRH) from $326
- Miami (MIA) to Barcelona (BCN) from $310
- New York (NYC) to Amsterdam (AMS) from $307
- New York (NYC) to Athens (ATH) from $348
- New York (NYC) to Barcelona (BCN) from $307
- New York (NYC) to Frankfurt (FRA) from $329
- New York (NYC) to London (LON) from $324
- New York (NYC) to Milan (MIL) from $324
- New York (NYC) to Paris (PAR) from $307
- New York (NYC) to Warsaw (WAW) from $326
- New York (NYC) to Zurich (ZRH) from $317
- San Francisco (SFO) to London (LON) from $379
- Washington (WAS) to Amsterdam (AMS) from $376
- Washington (WAS) to Frankfurt (FRA) from $349
- Washington (WAS) to London (LON) from $370
- Washington (WAS) to Milan (MIL) from $385
- Washington (WAS) to Paris (PAR) from $375
- Washington (WAS) to Warsaw (WAW) from $375
Interestingly it appears that there’s even some matching going on, and booking through some lesser-known online travel agencies can provide further savings. For instance starting at SkyScanner.com I’m finding great fares New York – Paris although the absolute cheapest deals – from $272 roundtrip — are basic economy.
Here’s SkyTeam from $272.05 at SmarterFares.com:
And oneworld at $285 on the route:
*Correction: SmarterFares.com = SmartFares.com
I don’t believe you receive FFM when buying on these sites but the prices are incredibly good.
How do you tell it is full economy, not basic?
