- Manhattan couple sues TSA over $95,000 in jewelry they say was stolen from their luggage. I’d have been skeptical, but they say it happened at New York JFK…
- Citibank devalued points transfers in the Australia market with no notice
What exactly is one supposed to do when you realize that personal effects have been stolen from your checked baggage? I had a pair of new shoes fail to make it from JFK to IST. I imagine you take the issue up with your carrier, but it’s not like the bags are in their control the entire time.
My take is the same thing could possibly happen here
I am going to be more careful and cut spending on my Citibank prestige card and diversify
Just in case the sky falls here as well
I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t put anything worth $95,000 in checked luggage. It would stay with me or be shipped and fully insured. Not that I have anything worth that much anyway.
