If you book by Wednesday September 14th you can save 22% – 25% on Delta SkyMiles roundtrips between the mainland US and Hawaii. That’s up to 25,000 miles off.
This is available in all classes of service — regular coach, extra legroom coach, first class, and international business class on the handful of routes that operates to Hawaii.
Travel is available with this discount between January 9 and March 13 and again between April 12 and May 23 to all of the airports Delta services in Hawaii (Lihue, Honolulu, Kahului Maui, and Kona).
These award sales are becoming fairly frequent. You can book domestic coach awards starting at 5000 miles each way through the end of the month. Last month they ran a sale on Europe awards.
The big joke, of course, is that Delta pretends not to have an award chart (they do have one — they price awards based on their chart — they just hide it from members). If there were no ‘regular prices’ they couldn’t have a sale.

What about transferring 30k amex mrs to flying blue for a r/t ticket even from the east coast on delta? Probably not the same availability but always a better option than 45k miles.
Speaking of mileage promotions… there’s also a way to get 6,000 Miles and More award miles for 20 EUR. Only until the end of this month.
