  1. That dog in the second tweet, is not a “service dog”. It shouldn’t be sitting outside of carrier either

  2. Surely, there are some authoritarians here who have zero empathy and would have preferred the dog be euthanized, right?

I am not one of those people. I like dogs. I think what the pilot here did was good and decent, even if the rule book would have denied it. Kind of like how we all go a few miles over the speed limit at times, and we are not summarily executed by the nearest officer (unless we are driving while black).

Anyway, what I mean to say is that nearly any time Gary posts anything about dogs on planes, there are the usual culprits who dish out their hate for animals, and really anything they deem lesser than themselves. I await your hate mail, haters.

  3. Who cares about the damn dog! How about the passengers who are cramped up like sardines?

  4. @Carlos Miranda. One knows that flying involves weather risks, particularly in winter. While I would prefer pets to be only flown in the cargo hold, I assume this little fellow was being properly transported and at an additional cost. The human pax were, I assume, free to use the lavs. The pup couldn’t and the fine gesture by the captain is to be praised.
